Visual effects specialist, The Mill has worked with Impossible Pictures and Sky 1 HD on a new series which aims to reinvent the classic Arabian Knights tales and bring the story of Sinbad in to the 21st century.

The Mill has previously collaborated with Impossible Pictures on ITV's Primevil and the forthcoming Neverland film for Sky Movies. For the twelve part Sinbad series the VFX team created a number of key shots to help drive the action and drama.

Will Cohen, Mill TV and Film’s managing director, explained; “If Computer Generated Imagery is a tool for story tellers to use when something cannot be shot in camera then Sky/Impossible Pictures new series, ‘Sinbad’ provided ample opportunity for The Mill TV and Film to collaborate with them by creating FX, environments and creatures with an elemental tone to bring scale, scope and drama to their exciting new fantasy series. It has been a great show to work on bringing film quality VFX to the small screen”.

The series is an Impossible Pictures production for Sky and BBC Worldwide produced with the assistance of Nine Network Australia. Sinbad airs on Sunday evenings at 8pm on Sky 1 HD.
