Malaga Tourism appoints Mere PR to raise the city's profile

Mere PR has been appointed by Malaga Tourism with a brief to raise the profile of the city as an attractive destination for city breaks, conferencing and leisure trips.

Working with the tourist office Mere PR will manage the UK media relations campaign and will plan a series of press trips to the city to highlight its culture, recent developments and future plans. Journalists are already being considered for the first visit to the world famous Feria de Malaga in August.

Tourist board representative, Antonio Montejo Romero, said Mere PR impressed “with their excellent contacts and enthusiasm”.

He added: “We are looking forward to working with them to really raise awareness of Malaga with a range of different consumers in the UK.”

Victoria Maltby, Mere PR director, commented: “Malaga is an exciting city with lots to talk about.

“We are starting immediately and have many media visits in planning for the summer months.”
