Facebook has announced the launch of its App Centre in the UK, almost a month after it launched in the US.
Coming as the social media site aims to take on the entertainment market, the UK version of the store includes some extra European-based services such as French music-streaming service Deezer.
Facebook will provide personalised suggestions, as well as saying what apps friends like and providing a table of the top rated apps.

It's a useful reference guide but shame there's no search. An obvious feature that would be well used and very handy.

@Jonathan Pollinger It's surely just a matter of time before they introduce that Jonathan? Strange it's not there from the launch though.

A strange omission indeed. But Search isn't exactly Facebook's strong point. Amazing that it's still not possible to search content of posts on the site for example, like you can on Google+.

Is anyone getting sick of the fact that everything has "apps" now. I mean how many are truly useful or entertaining.
I do agree that search is a glaring omission and that Google+ actually has some good points to it and looks like it's starting to finally pick up as people get sick of Facebook and their constant changing and complicated interface.
