Following the successful launch of the ‘Kenco Millicano Wholebean Instant’ last year Kraft Foods is to launch Kenco Millicano in vending machines and workplaces.

Kenco along with brand activation agency Arc London have created ‘Kenneth’, a talking vending machine with a cheeky personality, to celebrate the launch.

Kenneth will be live in London’s Soho Square on July 6 to show that ‘great coffee speaks for itself’ - literally. Kenneth appears like a normal vending machine but, with the help of a hidden comedian Kenneth will be chatting to commuters passing by whilst dispensing free cups of Kenco Millicano.

Nicola Wild, senior brand manager for Kenco Away from Home, said: “Kenneth will definitely put a smile on people’s faces in the same way that Kenco Millicano – the closest thing to ‘proper’ coffee in an instant – does.”

‘Kenneth’ will be asking people to work for their free cup maybe by asking them to do something a little bit silly like giving him a hug. Video footage will be created for Kenco’s Facebook page and the KencoCup Twitter feed is designed to encourage consumers to share the experience through social media.

Gary Munns, creative director, Arc, added: ““Kenco was so ready to let us have fun with the Kenco Millicano launch, and we can’t wait to see how the public relate to Kenneth and share their love of coffee.”
