Sky TV has announced that Sky Go, the mobile on-demand service, has been made available to Sky customers who use Android devices.

Shows from Sky 1, Sky Atlantic, Sky Living and Sky Arts 1 have been made available to users of all compatible mobile phones, where previously the content was only available to Apple iOS users. A wide selection of on-demand content is already available on Sky Go via Xbox 360, PC and Mac.

Holly Knill, product director of Sky Go, has commented on the new service: “We‘re always working to ensure that Sky customers have the widest choice of content available to watch as and when they want it. Whether it’s new and exclusive comedy shows like Veep and Alan Partridge or entertainment shows including Smash and A League of Their Own, this is exactly what the updated version of Sky Go delivers. Entertainment shows like Sky Atlantic’s Game of Thrones and Sky 1’s An Idiot Abroad have proven popular on the platform; a trend we expect to continue with the flexibility of on-demand viewing.”
