Mother has created the latest ad for MoneySupermarket’s ‘You’re So Money Supermarket’ campaign.

The latest adverts follow the transformation of ‘Gary’ the everyday man as he becomes a superstar in his own Magnum PI-inspired TV series “The £1000 Man”. The adverts show Gary in an 80s themed adventure featuring ‘appearances’ from car insurance, home insurance, energy bills and credit cards, complete with his own 80s style opening credits.

Paul Troy, director of consumer marketing, MoneySupermarket, said, “People all over the country are finding out just how epic they feel when they make huge savings with MoneySupermarket across their household bills – in this next ad, we’re continuing to make the savings you can make using our site, and the feeling you get, the real hero.”

Mothers’ campaign features on the four core products - car insurance, home insurance, energy and credit cards – and will debut on Sunday 8 July during ITV1’s ‘Superstar’. The will also be a radio version for car insurance, and additional supporting PR and social media activity.

Tim McNaughton, creative director, Mother, added, “We decided the next step was to take him to another time altogether. A time known as the 80s, when heroes wore Hawaiian shirts, solved crimes and drove fast cars.

“Our new hero, Gary, has his own cop show 'The £1,000 man' and feels so epic, he can save the world!"

The advert was directed by Josh Gordon and Will Speck – famed for their Will Ferrell hit, ‘Blades of Glory’.
