Rakuten LinkShare completes m-commerce testing

Rakuten LinkShare has announced that it has finished a round of testing for iPhone, iPad, Android and Blackberry after it was discovered over 500 advertisers use mobile on at least one of these platforms.

The affiliate network undertook the testing not long after IMRG and Capgemini reported that transactions completed on smartphones and tablets skyrocketed by 2,000% in two years.

Yaz Iida, chief executive officer of Rakuten LinkShare, said: “As the m-commerce landscape continues to evolve and grow, mobile commerce will be an important part of the future of performance marketing and it has become a clear differentiator for us as emerging and established brands increasingly choose the Rakuten LinkShare network.”
