Communications and events agency Logistik Group has sponsored a BT ArtBox as part of its continuing support of community projects. Marking the 25th Anniversary of ChildLine life-size replicas of the trademark telephone boxes have been transformed into pieces of contemporary art, for theirs Logistik Group, sponsors of the Northern Arts Prize, commissioned international sculptor Simon Le Ruez.

La Ruez commented, “I was thrilled to be asked by Logistik and the Northern Art Prize to be part of this exciting project and to promote the work of ChildLine.”

La Ruez’ creation has retained the familiar red heritage stamp and complemented it by adding 12 highly polished balls. Le Ruez describes these “little curiosities” as “mirroring the urban surroundings and playfully reflecting the viewer in a game of perspectives”.

Dirk Mischendahl, joint managing director of Logistik Group, added, “We are very proud to be sponsoring Simon and the Northern Art Prize ArtBox and delighted to support such an important cause. Creativity and community engagement have always been, and will continue to be, central to how we do things at Logistik.”

The BT ArtBox project sees 80 boxes in different locations across London; other exhibitors include Ted Baker, Zandra Rhodes, Swarovski and Story. The boxes are being displayed around the capital until July 16.
