The dust is beginning to settle on the degree shows, the colleges are emptying, they're cleaning up after the D&AD Student Awards and creative directors are now bracing themselves for a deluge of CVs.

Achieving cut through is this ultra-competitive market is no mean feat, which is why one Kieran King caught the eye of the judges at the recent Chip Shop Awards.

When seeking placements from creative directors he emailed them an audio file of him rapping his CV. The endeavour won him a coveted Chip in the Best Self Promotion category at the awards which were announced a couple of weeks ago.

But what particularly really impressed those who attended the show was him getting up and – in a first for the Chip Shop Awards – performing his CV live to the audience. If it wasn't for the fact that the audience was already on their feet he might even have got a standing ovation!

We show the film here, which we hope serves as a little inspiration to all those art school graduates.
