W Communications appoint Richard Tompkins as head of consumer

PR consultancy W Communications has announced that it has appointed Richard Tompkins as head of its consumer division, a move intended to drive output for clients such as Gallo Family Vineyards, William Grant & Sons, Toyota, Hendrick’s Gin, PokerStars, Visit Sweden, Jack Wolfskin and London’s hottest restaurant, MEATliquor.

Tompkins was previously employed by Light Brigade PR where he worked with a number of high profile clients including Virgin Media, Stella Artois, British Airways, MTV, Nike and Coca-Cola, and celebrity clients including Joe Calzaghe and the Beckhams.

W Communications recently added the London Evening Standard, Spencer Hart, a William Grant & Sons global brief, and two Visit Sweden projects to its brief.
