Scotty Brand, a supplier of premium Scottish produce, has announced it is partnering with Disney UK for the launch of Pixar’s Brave.

The film tie-in will see the firm offer rewards on its potato and carrot packs, Ayrshire new potatoes and soft fruit and is intended to boost the firm’s presence in the grocery marketplace.

These branded packs are available from Morrison’s, Tesco, Wholefoods and Asda and carry a special code which can be entered on Scotty Brand’s website.

Once done an animation of Brave’s lead character, Martha, fires an arrow to reveal which reward has been one. These include family holidays to the Gleneagles Resort and private screenings of Brave.

Developed by Scotty Brand with Edinburgh-based marketing communications agency Billington Cartmell and Disneymedia+, the campaign will be supported by a nationwide television campaign in July.

Michael Jarvis, Scotty Brand’s marketing manager says: “People care more about where their food comes from and fresh produce from Scotland is seen as a guarantee of quality. We are using this groundswell of appreciation for provenance and seasonality to extend the distribution of Scotty Brand throughout the UK. The visibility created by the tie-in with Disney?Pixar on this launch gives us a perfect platform to begin the further roll out nationwide of new foods in addition to our recent range extensions of new potatoes and berries”.
