The Duke of York, Martha Lane Fox and Sir Tim Berners-Lee create video promoting importance of teaching kids to code

The Founders Forum has created a video to promote the importance of getting primary school children to learn how to write code.

Currently ‘Code Club’, a volunteer-led after-school coding clubs for children aged 10-11, is being trialled in 25 schools, but it aims to be in a quarter of primary schools by 2014.

Brent Hoberman, co-founder of Founders Forum, said: “We have a heritage at Founders Forum for producing disruptive video content and are excited to be working with Albion, Unruly and Hotspur& Argyle to create social videos promoting Code Club to feed tomorrow’s workforce with a passion for entrepreneurism and technology."

The video features people such as The Duke of York, Martha Lane Fox and Sir Tim Berners-Lee being ‘interviewed’ as volunteers to help in Code Club.
