CartridePeople.com has commissioned Graham Love of Glove Productions to work on a series of stop motion adverts to engage with customers across the web. Part one entitled ‘Johnny in the Jungle’ was released on June 15, with part two following on July 2.

Glove Productions received praise for its stop motion animation work with LEGO for clients such as the BBC promoting EURO 2012. The latest creations for CartridgePeople.com are expected to gain a similar level of interest.

The videos are created using a technique called stop motion where every second of footage is comprised of 16 frames. ‘Johnny in the Jungle’ took a total of four weeks to make and is comprised of over 1,400 individual frames.

Designed to encourage engagement through social networks, including Facebook and Twitter, CartridgePeople.com commented, “Given that ink and toner cartridges are a consumable item it can be hard to create social discussion about them.

“As part of an overall social strategy, the videos were commissioned to enhance social engagement with the existing customer base as well as reaching new potential customers.”

The third video to be released on July 16 will coincide with a 10-day giveaway which will see prizes such as an iPad 3, 3DTV, PS3 and Dubai trip for two on offer.

Creator of the videos, Graham Love, added, “I think that viewers are going to really enjoy the series of ads as they follow the exploits of Johnny Ridge… It is definitely worth staying tuned with the prospect of winning exciting prizes come the second and third releases!”
