Bing, Microsoft’s search engine, has launched a new advertising campaign to support its ‘Bing is for Doing’ initiative.

Following on from a digital launch on Facebook in April, where users were asked what they wanted to do more than anything else in the world, one of the most intriguing ideas has been brought to life.

The campaign features Ines, 30, from London, chosen from thousands of entries after she said she wanted to climb one of the tallest trees in the world to re-visit the sense of freedom it used to give her as a child before she grew afraid after falling out of one and hurting herself.

The advert shows Ines conquering her fears, with the help of Bing, climbing the tallest tree in the amazon rainforest.

Director of product marketing for Bing, Peter Maxmin, said, “Let’s face it; there are more important things to life than search. Bing makes getting things done easy so you can spend your time enjoying the things you really want to do.”

The advert created by Beattie McGuinness Bungay will be promoted for two weeks from 18 June on television and online platforms, including MSN, MSN Video, Xbox LIVE and the Cadreon video network.
