STV hires former Rapid Media CEO Michael McTernan to lead mobile development
STV has appointed former Rapid Mobile CEO Michael McTernan to the newly created position of director of digital products.
McTernan, who was previously director of mobile strategy for Rank Interactive, following the acquisition of Rapid Mobile last year, will be tasked with the development of the broadcaster’s digital and future television strategy, while also aid the online delivery of content and STV services across all platforms.
He will report to Alistair Brown, chief technology & platforms officer.
Brown said: "I am delighted that Michael will be joining our talented team as we increase our focus on providing leading consumer services across our digital platforms. We have ambitious plans for the future and Michael's appointment is a valuable addition to the team at this exciting time for the business."
