Newcastle agency Cravens has developed an iPhone app for ZSL London Zoo that enables users to take a photograph and transform themselves into their favourite animal.

The app has been created as part of a wider marketing campaign designed to promote the Zoo Lates at ZSL London Zoo, which take place every Friday in June and July and are being pitched as an alternative night out for the capital's party animals.

Once users have downloaded the app and created their animal alter-ego, they can share it on Facebook and Twitter.

The images can also be uploaded to a special Zoo Lates online gallery, giving users the chance to win four tickets to the event every week simply by gaining the most votes.

Gary Jobe, head of digital at Cravens, said: "Like most great apps it’s simple and easy to use but, most importantly, it works with and enhances the wider marketing campaign.

"We think it helps to capture the fun element of this summer initiative and gets people involved, building the sense of community around Zoo Lates.”
