Windows 8 has unveiled a new magazine platform, created by Stonewash, with Fine Cooking, Lusso and Global Insight amongst the available titles.

The framework is available to magazine and newspaper publishers at a fixed price, and includes browser based tools enabling editions to be enhanced with additional interactive content.

Daniel Sharp, co-founder of Stonewash, said: "We're very proud to have been selected to work so closely with Microsoft on the Release Preview of Windows 8; with such a huge proportion of publisher revenue coming from tablets in the future, it's vital that publishers get on board with what is bound to be a huge slice of the market. Speaking as a developer, I'm excited to be working on a brand new operating system - Windows 8 is a huge leap forward.”
