Advisory bodies recommend voting against 30% rise for WPP chief Martin Sorrell

Advisory bodies are advising investors to vote against a 30% pay rise for WPP chief executive Sir Martin Sorrell.

It has been reported that bodies such as ISS, Glass Lewis, the Association of British Insurers, Manifest and Pirc are recommending a vote against the increase.

The advertising and media agency has said that Sorrell, whose salary was increased to £1.3m last year, had not had a raise previously since 2007.
