LOVEFiLM has announced it has introduced a new HD quality film streaming service in the UK, at no extra charge, in resolutions up to 1080p.
Subscribers accessing content via their PC or Mac will be able to access content in full HD resolution although those accessing services via their Xbox or Samsung and LG connected HDTV will be limited to 720p.
Initially available content will be limited but is expected to expand rapidly in the coming weeks with titles such as The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Gnomeo and Juliet and Four Lions becoming available alongside a slew of YV dramas including LOST, Ghost Whisperer and Blue Planet.

HD ready content will stream automatically in its native resolution where the home internet connection can support it.
