London based communications agency Crayon has announced that it is to rebrand as Karmarama and appoint a new senior line-up following its acquisition by Karma Communications Group and merger.

The changes will take effect from July 1 when Dan Thwaite becomes managing partner of the combined entity, reporting to group CEO Ben Bilboul.

It is hoped that the move will play to both agencies strengths, marrying Crayon’s digital expertise with Karmarama’s creative capabilities.

Charles Watson, group Chairman commented: “today’s news confirms the birth of a new challenger force in the London agency market. Backed by an incredibly strong capital structure and led by an outstanding line up of some of the finest talent in the industry, we look forward to unveiling in due course the next exciting moves in our development.”

Ben Bilboul, group CEO added: “The new Karmarama will have a perfectly developed left and right brain: great data, technology and analytical skills, equally matched with the best strategic thinking and creative, designed to work across the entire customer journey”

Dan Thwaites, Managing Partner said: "Bringing the two agencies together as one, we're creating a heady diversity of skills. We’re building an environment where we can continue to attract the best talent and the most ambitious clients."

The combined agency will operate from the largest single floor open plan office in the UK communications industry
