Premium beer brand, Corona, have launched their biggest ever advertising campaign ahead of a summer sales push.

The 'Place to Be' campaign, created by BMB, with media buying by Zenith Optimedia, has focused on the outdoors, having been photographed in Mexico, and is backed by a strong digital element. It offers a premium feel, and with the iconic bucket serve highlighted it puts sociability and sharing with friends at the heart of the brand.

Darius Burrows, senior brand manager for Corona Extra said: “The idea behind the new campaign was to recreate the strong connection between our brand and its consumers, so that when they open a bottle of Corona they leave everything else behind, start enjoying life in the place they want to be.”

Consumers that recognised the 2011 poster campaign were 35% more likely to consider drinking Corona, as a result the brand have built on this previous success with their latest campaign and taken advantage of the growing popularity of world beer.

The campaign will mean that Corona is the biggest outdoor advertiser in the world beer category this year, including outdoor advertising with billboards and 6000 posters, alongside a heavyweight digital campaign, combining online advertising, Facebook activity and the launch of new Corona mobile Apps.
