Country Life magazine and Getty Images have collaborated to release a special iPad app to commemorate the Queens Diamond Jubilee.

The collection of photographs and videos, which spans nine decades, were supplied by Getty Images and edited by the team at Country Life magazine to create the app named Diamond Queen.

The app has 14 separate galleries, which Josh Rucci, Getty Images senior director of media & broadcast, explained would cover the Queen's life extensively.

Diamond Queen, which launches on 30 May, has been “86 years in the making”, as Country Life editor Mark Hedges stated, and “follows The Queen in her most formal and intimate settings.”

The collaboration between Getty Images and IPC Media, publisher of the magazine, “shows a terrific history”, said Josh Rucci, “demonstrating a mutual objective toward serving the digital audience with the highest-quality editorial and visual content.”
