ESPN to broadcast over 20 friendy football matches over summer featuring Manchester City, Real Madrid, Chelsea and more

Subscription sports channel ESPN is to broadcast over 20 friendlies during the summer, including matches with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool.

The channel will also broadcast one of England’s Euro 2012 group opponenets France’s final two warm up games, as well as three Brazilian friendlies, including the USA and Argentina.

Manchester City’s match against Arsenal at the Olympic Stadium in Beijing will run on 27 July, while Manchester City will also face a Malaysia Select XI in Kuala Lumpur three days later.

Arsenal’s tour of the Far East will be broadcast live on ESPN, as will Tottenham’s game against LA Galaxy on 24 July.

The Liga Total Cup, also be broadcast in July will feature Bundesliga teams; Borussia Dortmund, Hamburg, Werder Bremen and Bayern Munich, as will Real Madrid taking on Benfica.
