Eyewear brand Carrera has unveiled a taxi campaign in London with Ubiquitous, to promote its new Carrera 6000 sunglasses.

Running on 400 taxis as part of the brand's wider 'Jump into the Sun' campaign across London, which includes bus advertising and a social media campaign, all fleet drivers will be briefed about the Carrera brand and the new Carrera 6000 model, so they are able to answer any questions that passengers might have.

As well as the SuperSide adverts depicting the new sunglasses, receipts will also feature Carrera branding.

Andrew Barnett, managing director of Ubiquitous, said: “Carrera is using a variety of taxi advertising mechanisms to capture the attention of Londoners and the capital’s tourists as we ready ourselves for the summer sun.

“Not only has Carerra used SuperSides across a large fleet of taxis to guarantee widespread coverage, they’re also issuing take-home receipts and have briefed our drivers so that they’re able to engage passengers with the brand. This helps ensure that the ‘Jump into the Sun’ campaign secures as intimate and personable brand experience for consumers as possible.”
