Social media platform Foursquare is to team with the London Olympics, allowing users to ‘check in’ at locations involved in the games.

The partnership between the social network and the Olympics committee will see users able to log into stadiums, training venues and other areas involved with the Olympics.

A blog on Foursquare explained that by celebrating Olympic Day on 23 June by playing sports, following the Olympics on Foursquare and checking in twice before 25 June while playing sports or exercising would see one winner win a trip to London to attend the Games.

Those who check in twice will also receive the Olympic Day badge.

Users can also pick up an extra badge by checking in at the Olympic torch relay.
