AIM appoints Roger Scarlett-Smith as president

AIM, the European Brands Association, has appointed Roger Scarlett-Smith as president.

The president of GSK Consumer Healthcare Europe replaces Andrew Morgan, the European president of Diageo.

Laurent Freixe, CEO of Nestle Europe, has been announced as vice-president. The two will hold office for two years.

Scarlett-Smith said: “Europe faces enormous challenges and urgent policy choices to get its economies back to growth. Our branded goods industry is one of Europe’s greatest assets and policy makers need to do more to embrace its know-how, innovation and commitment to investment. My priority is that on issues such as job creation, inward investment, export markets or sustainability, our industry voice needs to be sought after and heard.”
