Heineken has appointed Ogilvy & Mather as the creative agency for Kronenbourg 1664.

Following a four-way-pitch, managed by AAR, the agency will take over creative dutures from BBH.

Bruce Reinders, brand director-premium Lager at Heineken, said: “We were very impressed with the quality of the strategic thinking and creative work developed by Ogilvy. This wasn’t an easy brief to crack. With the work that we’ve seen, we believe that not only will consumers continue to respect Kronenbourg 1664 but for the first time in a long time they will emotionally engage with the brand too!”

Hugh Baillie, CEO, Ogilvy & Mather added: "We are thrilled. Kronenbourg is a great tasting beer with huge potential as a brand. It is also a wonderful creative opportunity for us in the UK and we can't wait to get the work out."
