Marks & Spencer has appointed marketing agency RPM to help deliver its ‘Farming for the Future’ sustainability initiative through activity at this summer’s agricultural shows.

The campaign’s objectives are to educate and engage families and supply partners on M&S’ sustainable farming initiatives, and drive store footfall.

‘Farming for the Future’ has been developed by M&S in partnership with producers and processors to tackle future challenges of reduced energy availability, rising costs and a growing population.

Marketing activity will run across four major agricultural shows, including Balmoral Show, Royal Highland Show, Great Yorkshire Show and Royal Welsh Show.

Adele Woods, regional marketing and brand events manager at M&S said: “We want to educate consumers on the lengths we go to create special food products in a sustainable and responsible way, and are looking forward to working with RPM on a creative and engaging experience that brings ‘Farming to the Future’ to life.”
