Kindred has been appointed by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) to raise awareness of the organisation’s learning and events programme.

The appointment will see Kindred tasked with raising awareness of BAFTA’s learning and events activity which aims to support film, TV and video games talent for the future. These include over 200 masterclasses, expert lectures and initiatives, while also handling the publicity for the BAFTA Young Game Designers competition.

Thea Cole, head of communications for BAFTA, said: “We are delighted to be working with Kindred on this activity. Our Learning and Events programme has gone from strength to strength in recent years, with many events recorded and available online through our BAFTA Guru website. We want to ensure that these gems are accessible to all, and are particularly keen to reach out to the education sector.”

Leading the account will be client services director for Kindred, Sharon Bange, who commented: “BAFTA doesn’t just run glitzy awards. The organisation does a great deal to help established and aspiring talent in the moving image industry be the best it can be, and we are looking forward to spreading the word about this fantastic work.”
