Nikon Coopix is to become the first brand in Europe to implement an online advertising campaign using in-image ad format Vibrant Image.

The deal, agreed by TED@MediaCom, will see the three-month campaign run using Vibrant Image as display placements to promote the Coolpix digital camera.

Vibrant Image identifies static images within brand-safe content across the internet, embedding small overlays at the bottom of the image.

Kelly Lee, senior planner/buyer at Mediacom, commented; “We are always looking at new developments and innovative ways of engaging with our target consumers. Vibrant’s in-image product enables us to deliver the COOLPIX S3300 seamlessly with contextually relevant TV and entertainment images.”

Jeremy Gilbert, group marketing manager at Nikon UK, added; “This in-image advertising solution is a great format to engage our audience through a visual medium, and allows us to position the COOLPIX S3300 around really pertinent content.”
