The Sun sets up new editorial team in Manchester after seven years

The Sun has opened a new office in Manchester, which will be headed up by Guy Patrick, who has been promoted to Northern news editor.

The new office has been opened, seven years after News International closed its Manchester office, and will host an initial team of seven.

Patrick will be joined by Northern features editor Jane Atkinson, deputy news editor Richard Moriarty and reporters Andrew Chamberlain, Lauren Veevers, Emma Foster and Rachael Dale and will be based out of the same office at the sales team in the city.
