Creative Vein’s anti-obesity Chip Shop Award entry tops our Facebook poll

A spoof campaign by Creative Vein designer Jon Massey to prevent childhood obesity, featuring overweight versions of the logos from Haribo, Pringles and KFC, has won our Facebook Chip Shop Awards ‘like’ competition.

The competition, which was open for 24 hours and led to almost 300 votes in total, asked our social media followers to 'like' their favourite of the Chip Shop Award nominees posted on Facebook, following the nominations being announced.

The ad was entered into the Best Consumer Ad or Campaign category for the awards, and had received 83 votes on Facebook at the time of writing, as well as three shares and ten comments.

Rachel Emma Williams said of the ad ‘I like this’, to which Claire Collins replied ‘I don't just like it I love it (but there wasn't a button for that)!’.

Carrot Digital Recruitment said ‘Very clever, love it.’, while Francesca Ganley-Parker said ‘love this’, Julia Eccles said ‘Fantastic concept Jon Massey!’, Aaron Nicholas said ‘Quality mate’ and Trip Forrester added ‘Excellent stuff’.

Laurie Whitwell posted ‘Oh wow. Is this the famous Jon Massey everybody has been raving about? I can see why. What style.’

Richard Illusion said ‘Liked and shared as requested Porl-Cumberland Forever-Ferguson.’, to which Porl-Cumberland Forever-Ferguson replied ‘good lad’.

The ad has also previously been voted Ad of the Week during the early entry stages of the Chip Shop Awards.

‘The Jacko Range’ of Dulux, created by Fortune Cookie, came second in the competition, receiving 61 votes, 11 shares and seven comments.
