Deep Red Creative unveils Premier League images to promote 20 years

Deep Red Creative has produced a collection of 20 iconic images to celebrate the upcoming 20th year of the Premier League, with three black leather-bound books containing the images created and sold for £30,000 each for music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins.

The featured players ranged from Alan Shearer and Eric Cantona to Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo, as well as managers.

Don Mammatt, creative director at Deep Red Creative, said: “We wanted to do something special to help launch the 20 season celebrations of the Premier League. With each icon we have tried to capture the look, feel and the very essence of the player or manager. Some were more obvious than others but each image has its own signature feel and in some cases we went through several drafts before coming to a finished image that we felt really did the individual justice. Each icon has a quote either from or about them, which is an integral part of the design. I think we’ve done justice to the players, the event and the cause.”

Each image by Deep Red creative was accompanied by a text page containing their history and honours which is accompanied by a message and signature from each individual player and manager.

They were also all turned into 75cm sq canvasses which were also auctioned at the 17th Football Extravaganza event at the Grosvenor Hotel in London.
