Lancashire higher education institution UCFB has launched an app with Solus UK, available on iPhone, Android and Blackberry platforms.
The app is aimed at both current and prospective students and provides information into academic and student life at UCFB.
Sali Midjek-Conway, head of marketing and student recruitment at UCFB, said: “We wanted to develop a modern way of communicating with our undergraduates and prospective students and an app is an ideal way to do this.
“It’s in its early stages at the moment but we’re working to develop some really exciting content and our students have some great ideas about what we can do with it as well. As we’re such a niche institution, it allows us to be a little more creative and interactive with our content.
“In terms of recruitment it’s crucial that we explore and use all avenues of communication available to us, and the app will be an integral part of this going forward.”
