Transport for London has banned an advert claiming that gay people could be cured through therapy.

The poster campaign, by Core Issues Trust, read; "Not gay! Post-gay, ex-gay and proud. Get over it!" and was due to run on London buses next week.

The campaign mimicked another recent London bus advert that promoted marriage within the gay community that said; "Some people are gay. Get over it!"

TFL has now confirmed that it will no longer do so following complaints.

Mayor Boris Johnson is said to have backed the decision.
