The Scotsman’s marketing manager, Paula Bushell has joined the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh as its head of marketing and communication.

Bushell, who spent around 10 years at the newspaper publisher, has taken up the newly created role within the Enterprise Department, where she has been tasked with raising awareness of the research that in the field and also to encourage visitors to the Botanics, alongside its three regional gardens in Dawyck, Logan and Benmore.

“It was fantastic to work on The Scotsman newspaper over that period of time on campaigns including the paper’s change of format from broadsheet to compact, and also the recent launch of The Scotsman iPad app. However, my new appointment is a great opportunity for me, and presents some brand new challenges that are not to be missed,” Bushell told The Drum.

At the time of writing, it was unclear if her role had yet been filled at The Scotsman.
