Scottish social networking site KILTR set for US expansion
Kiltr, the Scottish social networking site will host an international launch event in New York this week as part of Scotland Week.
The event will include a social media discussion hosted by Hue and Cry singer Pat Kane as the site aims to grow awareness and appeal to those with a Scottish Heritage around the world.
The website will be updated in a bid to appeal to around 40 million Americans, having previously focused on the UK market.
Chief executive of Kiltr, Brian Hughes, said: “We know that Scotland holds a special place in the hearts of millions of people all across the globe. We’re providing a place for those people to connect; to find and share news, views and great Scottish content; to build friendships and business relationships that will be vital to Scotland’s future, commercially and culturally.”
