Phones4u has appointed Forever Beta as its integrated creative agency.

Having been placed on a shortlist of six, the appointment will now see the agency tasked with helping to define the future state of its brand as it aims to focus on a customer focused branding strategy.

Scott Hooton, chief commercial officer for Phones4u, commented; “As we look to pursue a strategy that focuses on building increased customer engagement and loyalty, we wanted to find the right partner to help us shape the future of our brand and enable us to deliver on our growth ambitions. Throughout the pitch process, Forever Beta not only demonstrated extensive experience within the mobile and consumer sectors and a strong cultural fit with our people, but a sound understanding of our business and brand aspirations that made them the winning partner to guide us strategically along this journey.”

“2012 and beyond will be exciting and challenging for Phones 4u’’, added Forever Beta founding partner Robin Gadsby. ‘’They have a great business that has ambitious brand and commercial goals, and we look forward to helping them realise their potential and of us both building a long term relationship into the future.”

They are the worst mobile phone retailer on the high street. "As we look to pursue a strategy that focuses on building increased customer engagement and loyalty". Suggestion Mr Phones4U, how about when a customer's phone breaks after 3 days due to a known fault you replace it instead of sending it off to a 'service centre' for 6 weeks and then asking said customer for £17.50 to have their phone back unfixed. That would create some customer engagement.
