The Victoria Gallery and Museum at the University of Liverpool has appointed Reading Room Manchester to redevelop its online presence and assist with its future digital strategy and campaigns.

Reading Room has experience in the area having previously worked on similar projects for the National Children's Museum, People's History Museum and the John Rylands Library among others.

It has been briefed to create a 'visually appealing, exciting, user-oriented' site to launch later this year.

Agency managing director Garry Byrne said: "The museum and gallery are housed in a truly iconic building filled with curiosities and unique displays that really do take you by surprise and we’re delighted to address the challenge of communicating this to potential visitors.

"We’ve undertaken a series of user and stakeholder workshops and determined to deliver the real essence of this piece of Liverpool’s heritage online.”
