Footwear and apparel brand New Balance has appointed Manchester agency Lake to provide creative support across 'a range of projects over the coming months'.

The first project, an integrated range of point of sale for the lightweight 1080v2 running shoe, is in stores now.

Using the theme of ‘We All Have The Right To Light’, the concept involves a ‘floating’ shoe and associated display materials.

Lake will also be supporting New Balance with further point of sale, advertising and exhibition projects, including the design and build of the company’s stand at the Virgin London Marathon Exhibition in April.

Agency managing director, Barry Glinister, said: "The New Balance brand is one that we have wanted to work with for many years and while it might be too late to save my athletic career, hopefully our work will provide inspiration to the many everyday and professional athletes who love the brand.”
