Huffington Post, The Times, BBC and Lucky Magazine amongst contenders for Online Media Awards
Conde Nast, BBC and Associated Newspapers are amongst the publishers who have put forward titles in the Online Media Awards, with the extension deadline for entries being today.
Metro, Yahoo!, Huffington Post, The Times, Channel 4 News, BBC, The Sunday Times and the Manchester Evening News have all nominated themselves for various categories.
Categories for the awards include best online editor of the year, best digital writer, best local/regional news site, best video journalism and best use of citizen journalism.
Best use of social media is also a category in the awards, with Conde Nast’s Lucky Magazine being one of the entrants.
The Online Media Awards, which are taking place on 21 June, is sponsored by The Drum, the Press Association, Holdthefrontpage, the Society of Editors and the NUJ.
