The BBC has today unveiled its new-look design services roster, comprising five agencies.

D8 and Studio Output have been reappointed while Fan Club Communications, Kent Lyons and Origin Creative are new additions.

They will "work across the BBC’s public service portfolio to execute and deliver a range of collateral to support the BBC’s creative activities across all division".

Studio Output partner Rob Coke said: "We felt we’d delivered a really strong pitch and we’re delighted that we’ve been retained on the BBC Design roster this year. It’s a mark of great pride that we work with the BBC and we look forward to creating some brilliant things in 2012."

Despite the BBC's move to MediaCityUK in Salford, Cheshire-based Origin was the only northern consultancy to make the cut.

Its managing director Mark Bottomley said: "This is quite an achievement for us and reflects the investment we have made to make Origin the foremost creative design agency in the north-west.

"The BBC is the world's leading broadcaster, and the programmes it produces are second to none. We're looking forward to working closely with the BBC over the coming months."
