SapientNitro has appointed Daniel Harvey, a former creative director at New York’s R/GA, to be its new director of experience design.

During his stint in the Big Apple Harvey was responsible for overseeing the creative direction of Verizon and designing new brand platforms for HBO, Fidelity, CNN, Walmart, Target, Purins, Disney and Microsoft.

He also worked with Reuters to realise the first dynamic advertising supported digital sign at Times Square.

Harvey said: “There’s a lot to like about SapientNitro. Its solid digital foundation, genuine creative freedom and drive to succeed – it was all too good to pass up. They’ve demonstrated a keen understanding of how brands need to function today from brands-as-interface to ownable behaviours and more. I’m eager to help contribute to that.”

Malcolm Poynton, Chief Creative Officer Europe, SapientNitro, says: “We’re excited to have Daniel join our London team of Idea Engineers – his fantastic expertise will take our offering to the next level in helping redefine how brands connect with consumers. Daniel will play a key role in our connected thinking from an Experience Design perspective, pushing further our already significant new business and creative successes alike.”
