  • SABMiller reviews European media arrangementsSABMiller, owner of beer brands including Grolsch, Miller Genuine Draft, Peroni Nastro Azzurro and Pilsner Urquell, is reviewing its European media planning and buying as it looks to consolidate its business across the UK, the Republic of Ireland, Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, the Netherlands and Slovakia.MPG Media Contacts currently handles SABMiller’s UK media planning and buying account, which is thought to be worth £4m, while Vizeum handles planning and buying in Italy.
  • Claims Direct, the personal injury compensation specialist, has approached agencies ahead of a pitch for its £5m advertising business, which is currently handled in-house.
  • NFU Mutual, the mutual insurance composite, is reviewing its advertising arrangements. The account is thought to be worth £3m.
  • Nobia, the Swedish owner of European kitchen related firms including Magnet, is reviewing its pan-European advertising which is thought to be worth £40m. Cheethambell JWT is the incumbent on Magnet’s £8m advertising account, while media planning and buying is handled by Carat Manchester.
  • Gatwick Airport is on the hunt for agencies to handle its above and below-the-line accounts as the airport looks to become London’s airport of choice. Hypernaked is the incumbent on the above-the-line account.
  • Chester West and Chester Council is to tender for the development of a mobile and application platform.
  • Adidas is pitching its global advertising campaign for the 2014 World Cup, with both roster agencies, including Sid Lee and TBWA Worldwide, and non-roster agencies thought to be involved in the process .
  • Shell is seeking a boutique ad agency to work on its £150m global account alongside incumbent JWT.
  • Kraft Foods is looking to build a UK digital roster to handle its portfolio, which includes brands such as Bassett’s, Cadbury, Dairylea and Philadelphia. Kraft’s digital business is currently handled by agencies including CMW London, G2 Joshua, Proximity London and Publicis Chemistry.
  • Shop Direct has called a pitch for its £17m ad business as it looks to consolidate its Isme, Littlewoods and Very.co.uk accounts into one agency.
