RAPP UK has appointed John Markham as its new chief technology officer.

Markham has been with the agency for more than a decade and was previously technology director. He has recently been responsible for web design and build projects for clients such as Philips, Bacardi and Novartis.

The promotion sees him join the RAPP UK board.

Russell Marsh, group strategy director, said: "John is a rare individual who is not only passionate about data and technology but he’s a huge supporter of creativity.

"His promotion to chief technology officer reflects how much closer creative, technology and data have all become in delivering powerful insights and measuring their integrated effectiveness now that the customer journey includes many different touch points."

Before RAPP Markham worked at Identex, which was acquired by RAPP in 2000.
