Radio Advertising Bureau marks 20th anniversary

The Radio Advertising Bureau, a body championing radio as an advertising platform, has announced that it is to celebrate its 20th anniversary with a special event at the British Museum on May 23.

This will include a number of presentations charting the progress made over the past two decades, as well as the launch of two brand new initiatives intended to aid aid advertisers, media agencies and creative agencies in getting the most from the medium.

RAB was founded in 1992 as part of a cross industry initiative with UK commercial radio.

Simon Redican said: "With record audiences, revenues booming and technical advances like RadioPlayer, it’s a great time to celebrate 20 years of radio innovation and honour the rich heritage of the RAB. The two new major customer initiatives that we will launch at the event are in the very best traditions of the RAB.”
