Marketing Leeds unveils new board
Marketing Leeds has appointed nine non-executive directors as it broadens its role to focus on attracting inward investment and tourism.
The new board, which you can see in full below, includes representatives from the academia, legal, banking and social enterprise sectors as well as Leeds City Council.
Andy Clarke, chair of Marketing Leeds and CEO of Asda, said: "Today’s appointments signify a real step change for Marketing Leeds.
"The Board recognises the importance of putting Leeds on the map and they will play a pivotal role in guiding the strategy of the broader Marketing Leeds as it expands with a wider, integrated remit to attract jobs, investment and visitors to the city.
"The Board’s leadership, expertise and experience will be critical in ensuring the city capitalises on what it does best and I am looking forward to working with them.”
