Finn PR has hired Alison Puente, currently head of PR at technology firm Pace, to launch its new corporate communications practice.

Puente has held the Pace role since October 2010 and before that headed up media relations for Yorkshire Bank. Earlier in her career she spent 12 years at PR agency Text 100 where she became vice president.

Richard Rawlins, managing director at Finn PR, said: “We have recognised for some time that there is a great opportunity to include corporate PR as part our innovative communications offer for clients. We worked with Alison when she was our client at Yorkshire Bank and established a strong partnership with her there. She brings a real depth of strategic corporate communications expertise to the agency and we’re delighted to welcome her on-board.

“Alison’s brief will be to extend the core Finn proposition of ‘creating innovative communications to drive business growth’ into the corporate sector. We are known for offering a blend of commercial nous and creativity to our consumer clients, and the new practice will allow us to extend this to our corporate and B2B clients."

Puente will join Finn on 2 April. She said of her new role: "After five years working in-house, I’m excited to bring this client-side perspective back to agency."
