A German ad for Reebok which ran at local gym partners has been pulled for featuring the strapline ‘Cheat on your girlfriend, not on your workout’.
The ad was quickly circulated on social media, before it was pulled by Reebok.
Dan Sarro, a spokesperson for Reebok, said: “The signs were removed as soon as we were made aware of them. I can assure you that Reebok does not condone this message or cheating in any way. We apologize for the offensive nature of these materials, and are disappointed that they appeared at all.”

We really are becoming the 'New Victorians' - take a pill Reebok

I think they were right to pull it. What a ridiculous selling point. And no, it's not becasue I have been cheated on and feel some harsh emotion when reading it.

It's a proposition - not a selling point. Anyway I don't care about it that much - my point is that we're becoming too puritanical (in my view)

They're not proposing it, they are telling the audience to do something. It's an imperative statement.
What I meant is, there must be a better way to sell Reebok.
Yes, I agree we are becoming too safe but sometimes adverts are not cool. And this is one of them.
