CBBC controller Damian Kavanagh moves to Channel 4

Damian Kavanagh, CBBC controller, has moved to Channel 4 to be its head of features and factual formats, where he will manage all programming across factual entertainment, features and daytime for the channel.

He said: "I'm delighted to be joining Channel 4 at this exciting time. There's a lot of creative renewal already under way and I'm absolutely passionate about commissioning innovative and talked-about programmes. I can't wait to get stuck in."

Jay Hunt, chief creative officer, said: "Damian has a great track record creatively and is an inspiring leader. He also has a knack for being able to translate great audience insight into unmissable shows and this makes him an invaluable addition to an already strong team."
